Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy explains what personal data Century Creatives collects on www.centurycreatives.com, why we collect it, who helps us handle it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. If anything is unclear, write to support@centurycreatives.com.

1. Who we are

Century Creatives makes plugins and tools for Final Cut Pro. We are based in Goiânia, Brazil, and we are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy question or request, including requests under Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD) and the EU and UK GDPR, write to support@centurycreatives.com.

2. What we collect and why

Free versions. When you ask for a free version, we collect your name, your email address and your consent. We first email you a link to confirm your address. Once you confirm, we email your download link, add you to our newsletter list and record which free versions you downloaded. Your download link works for 30 days, up to 10 times. We also keep the consent text you agreed to and the date, so we can show that you asked to hear from us. Legal basis: your consent, and delivering the free version you asked for.

Newsletter. If you sign up with the form at the bottom of our pages, we confirm your email address the same way. After that we send you news about new products, free versions and launch discounts. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Our email service tells us whether an email was delivered, opened or clicked. Legal basis: your consent.

Member account. If you create an account, we keep your name, your email address and your login details. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we also receive the name, email address and profile photo that the service shares with us. Your account lists your free downloads in My Downloads and lets you download free versions without confirming your email again. Passwords are handled by Wix, our website platform: we never see them. Member profiles are private. Legal basis: providing the account you asked for.

Messages and suggestions. When you use our contact form, our product suggestion form or the chat, or when you email us, we receive what you write together with your name and email address. We use them to answer you, to help with our products and to plan new ones. Legal basis: your request, and our legitimate interest in supporting customers and improving our products.

Blog comments. If you comment on a blog post, your name, your profile photo and your comment are public. Please don't share personal contact details in comments.

Purchases. Most of our products are sold today through FxFactory, which handles your order and payment under its own privacy policy. We may also sell products directly or through other stores. Whoever runs the checkout processes your payment, and we never receive your full card details. When you buy directly from us, we receive your name, email address and order details, so we can deliver your product, send your receipt and help you. FxFactory may share sales reports with us, which can include your name and email address, so we can help you with support. Legal basis: delivering what you bought, and keeping the records the law requires.

Security and abuse prevention. Our forms and sign-up use Google reCAPTCHA to stop spam and automated abuse. reCAPTCHA looks at your device and at how you use the page. We also count the requests made with each email address and keep a log of requests, confirmations and downloads, so we can spot abuse and fix problems. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site safe and working.

Technical data and statistics. Like any website, our host receives technical data such as your IP address, browser, device and the pages you visit. Wix uses it to run and protect the site and to give us visit statistics. If you allow it (see Cookies below), Google Analytics helps us understand how the site is used, and the Meta Pixel measures our ads and lets us show them to people who visited our site. Legal basis: our legitimate interest for running and protecting the site; your consent for Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel.

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't make automated decisions about you with it. We never ask for passwords or payment details by email, and we never attach installers to our emails: downloads always come from our site.

3. Cookies

Cookies are small files that a website stores in your browser. We use:

  • Essential cookies, which keep the site working and secure, keep you logged in and remember your cookie choices. They are always on.

  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) and advertising cookies (Meta Pixel), only with your consent.

  • YouTube cookies, only when you play one of our videos.

On your first visit, a banner lets you accept or reject the optional cookies. You can change your choice at any time with the privacy settings button at the bottom of this page, or by clearing the cookies in your browser.

You can block or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site from working.

4. Who handles your data for us

We use trusted providers that process data for us or under their own privacy policies:

  • Wix.com: website hosting, forms, member accounts, chat, contact list and emails.

  • Google: our support email, reCAPTCHA, YouTube, Google sign-in and, with your consent, Google Analytics.

  • Meta: Facebook sign-in and, with your consent, the Meta Pixel.

  • FxFactory, and any other store or payment provider we sell through: your purchases.

We may also disclose data when the law or a public authority requires it, or when we need it to defend our rights.

5. International transfers

Our providers store and process data outside Brazil, mainly in the United States. When your data leaves your country, we rely on the safeguards these providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses, as the LGPD and the GDPR allow.

6. How long we keep your data

  • Confirmation links expire after 7 days and are deleted 30 days after that.

  • Anti-abuse counters are deleted after 2 days, and the activity log after 180 days.

  • Your consent record, your download history and your newsletter subscription are kept until you ask us to delete them. If you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on our unsubscribed list so we don't email you again.

  • Your member account is kept until you ask us to delete it.

  • Messages are kept as our support history, and we delete them if you ask.

  • Google Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • confirm whether we process your data, and give you a copy of it;

  • correct data that is incomplete or wrong;

  • delete your data, or anonymize or block data we don't need;

  • send your data to you or to another service;

  • tell you who we share it with;

  • stop using it for a purpose you object to;

  • withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn't affect what we did before you withdrew it.

To make a request, write to support@centurycreatives.com from the email address concerned, so we know the request is yours. We answer within 15 days. You can also complain to Brazil's National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) or to the data protection authority where you live.

8. Security

Our site uses HTTPS. The data from our forms and downloads is stored in private collections that only our site's own server code can read. Download links are personal, expire, and work a limited number of times, and we store only a scrambled fingerprint (hash) of each link, never the link itself. No system is perfectly secure: if a breach puts your data at risk, we will tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

9. Children

Our site is meant for adults and teens who edit video. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are under 18, please use the site with permission from a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

10. Other websites

Links to FxFactory, YouTube, social networks and other websites lead to services with their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for how they handle your data.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our site or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
